MANUP?

The adopted term of ‘MAN UP’ as we know it, needs to be challenged.

We have partnered with the charity MANUP? which raises awareness about men’s mental health. Together, we want to promote open, healthy and honest conversation between men with the aim that it helps people before it becomes too late.

TACKLING THE STIGMA

Supporting mental health through football programmes

Head In The Game is a UK registered charity that offers the invaluable opportunity for people in the local community to unite and indulge in the sport they love.

These weekly sessions, provided free of charge, cater to anyone between the ages of 18-65, regardless of their footballing ability.

Our service is aimed at encouraging people to open up and talk using football as a way of starting those sometimes difficult conversations.

The Hibberd Cup is a five-a-side football tournament to support men’s mental health.

By coming together as a community, we aim to break the stigma, opinions, and thoughts around mental health and raise vital awareness and funds for men’s mental health initiatives.

Up to 40% of men won’t discuss their mental health*. Together with the charity MANUP? we want to challenge the phrase ‘Man Up’. Don’t brush off your feelings and get on with it. Instead, seek help, talk, and don’t feel ashamed that something has become too much to cope with.

Together, we can be better!
